what’s the meaning of bulking

We more less all know that bulking means eating more to gain weight. Many people think that since they are bulking, they have to eat a lot of food and some people even think they need to eat a lot of junk food. There are two types of bulking: lean & dirty bulking.

Bulking simply means eating more, for example, if your requirement is 2000-2500 calories, you will 300-400 calories more than that-that is called bulking.

Dirty Bulking

In bulking, many people think they have to consume to 6000-8000 calories daily, otherwise, bulking won’t happen. As a result, people stop counting calories and start eating whatever they find in front of them. Some people bulk by eating junk food.

Besides that, there are fried foods, high sugar foods & others. In this way, people do dirty bulking. As a result, your weight increases very quickly, but along with muscle, your fat also increases fast.

Advantage & Disadvantages

1: The only advantage is that you gain weight quickly.

2: A lot of fat gets stored in your body.

3: It can causes heart problem and there is also a high chance of increased cholesterol.

4: In the future, if you want to cut (lose fat), you will face a lot of problems and you will struggle a lot to lose weight. Also getting a lean look becomes very hard.

Lean Bulking

Lean bulking is a simple method. Suppose you need 2500 calories daily, and you add 300-400 more calories to that. You eat rice, fish, chicken, vegetables-whatever you used to eat before, you just eat a little more now. This way, your weight will increase slowly, but your muscles will grow steadily and fat will not accumulate much.

If you eat healthy foods, that is your plus point-like protein, healthy fats and carbs. Along with this, you need to do weight training everyday and reduce cardio.

advantage & Disadvantages

1: There is basically no disadvantage.

2: The amount of fat gains is very low.

3: The body stays fit and well-shaped.

4: Later, during cutting and fat loss, you don’t have to struggle much.

5: You muscle mass increases day by day.

Idea About Lean Bulking

Maintain 1.5-2 grams of protein per kg of body weight daily. Eat 4-5 meals a day. Do cardio 1-2 days a week to control fat but not lose too mush weight. Sleep 7-8 hours every night.

Only exercising and eating is not enough-you also need perfect rest. For weight training, gradually increase weight to achieve progressive overload.

When Can You Do Bulking?

There are some people who never get fat no matter how much they eat. If you fall into that category , then you can eat junk food and take extreme calorie intake. If you want to gain weight very fast, they you can do it do again a lot of weight quickly.

Last Thing:

Whether you do dirty bulking or lean bulking. I definitely prefer lean bulking. Lean bulking takes more time, but you stay safe from a lot of harms. Research also shows that for your body, lean bulking is always much batter than dirt bulking
